Coach Education System

Level 1 Coach

Option A: Sport Skills Course

  • Prerequisite – None
  • Designed for those without competition or coaching experience
  • Basic skills and strategies of particular sport
  • Competition and game understanding
  • Involves a classroom session, activity session performing the skills with the trainer and sport clinician, and a model training session with athletes

Option B: Coaching Special Olympics Athletes Course

  • Prerequisite – None
  • Designed for new coach with sport experience
  • Involves coaching the athlete, the coach, training and coaching each athlete, and successfully preparing for competition
