BEE CAVE/LAKEWAY – Special Olympics Texas is set to host its 2023 Winter Games Press Conference at Sonesta Bee Cave Hotel (12525 Bee Cave Pkwy, Bee Cave, TX 78738) on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am. The event will be emceed by Mark Calaway, better known as “the Undertaker” and his wife, Michelle McCool-Calaway. The conference will be held to celebrate Special Olympics Texas Winter Games returning to Bee Cave and Lakeway for the second year in a row, and inform the public about what to expect from this year’s Games.
Mayor of Bee Cave Kara King and Mayor of Lakeway Thomas Kilgore will be speaking at the event alongside key law enforcement officers within the two communities and a Special Olympics Texas athlete.
"We are thrilled to be back in Bee Cave and Lakeway,” says Special Olympics Texas Senior Director of Competitions and Games Chad Eason. “Last year's event couldn't have gone any better, and we greatly appreciate all the support everyone showed our athletes. We're back in 2023 with a goal of twice as many athletes, and we can't wait to see everyone out there again in February!”
The 2023 Winter Games will be held about two months after the Official Press Conference. The Games will be held on February 17-19th at various locations throughout Bee Cave and Lakeway, with both cities serving as Offical Presenting Sponsors. Sports competitions in powerlifting, volleyball, cycling, golf and floorball will be held throughout the weekend-long event, along with FUNdamental Sports.About Special Olympics Texas
