SOTX Celebrates 2019 State Flag Football Competition

Games take place starting December 13th

AUSTIN, Texas (November 8, 2019) – Opening ceremonies for the 2019 State Flag Football of Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) will put approximately 25 teams and 300 athletes from all across the state into the limelight Friday, December 13, at Del Valley High School.
Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) is proud to celebrate the 2019 State games with their dedicated Special Olympians, coaches, volunteers, family and friends.
“We are so excited to be bringing State Flag Football to a newly renovated athletic complex...” said Chad Eason, State Games Director of Special Olympics Texas. “We’re looking forward to our new partnership.  [We’ll have new activations] on the football field including Sparkle Cheer, pep band, Honor Guard and many others.”
The evening of December 13, 2019 coaches will register for their teams, attend the opening ceremony with their athletes and finish the night off with a Victory Dance.  Athletes then will take the field on 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Del Valle, Texas on December 14-15, 2019.
