FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE : October 21, 2019
AUSTIN, Texas (Nov. 11, 2019) – Main Event is expanding its national sponsorship of Special Olympics by partnering with Special Olympics Texas to serve as Title Sponsor of the 2020 Special Olympics Texas State Bowling Tournament. Nine select Main Event centers in Texas will play a role in this statewide event, which will be held from Feb. 6th, 7th and 9th, 2020.
“We’re very proud to partner with our friends at Main Event,” said Tim Martin, President and CEO of Special Olympics Texas. “They have been incredibly supportive to our athletes and organization for many years – both at the state and national levels – and we’re grateful that they are opening their amazing centers across the Lone Star State to our bowling competitors.”
“We are looking forward to partnering with Special Olympics Texas and other sponsors to bring the biggest and best tournament ever to the athletes, their families and friends, and everyone who supports these incredible kids,” said Chris Morris, President and CEO of Main Event Entertainment. “We’re all about creating memorable experiences at Main Event, and the state bowling tournament will undoubtedly create lasting memories for thousands of families across Texas.”
In addition to its ongoing sponsorship support, Main Event guests are invited to donate any amount, $1 or more, to Special Olympics anytime they are in an entertainment center. The entire 100 percent of the funds donated go directly to Special Olympics and will be used for various events and activities. Main Event will also offer a special dining package for all Special Olympics athletes, family, friends and volunteers, throughout the tournament.
Each Main Event center consists of state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, billiards and an innovative games gallery featuring more than 100 of the latest interactive arcade games – all under one roof – creating a multi-sensory gaming experience like no other. Whether looking for a chef-inspired casual dining experience – with delicious shareables like wings, loaded nachos, oven-baked artisan pizza and more in a full-service American-fare grill – or handcrafted cocktails in a high-energy sports bar surrounded by big screen TVs, Main Event is a FUN place to hang out, watch the big game and challenge friends to a game or two.
