Are you ready to be a part of the most freezing-ist fundraiser in town? Come join Special Olympics Texas by plunging into the chilly waters of Waco at the annual Polar Plunge! This frigid event is at Hawaiian Falls Water Park on February 8. The Polar Plunge allows participants to leap into ice cold water while raising money for SOTX.
Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the first plunge is at 11:00 a.m. The event will wrap up at 12:00 p.m. and with an awards ceremony for Best Costume. The cost to test these chilly waters is $60 for adults and $30 for children under the age of 18. Proceeds support over 1,050 athletes in the Heart of Texas area.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation. In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX. The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve more than 44,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
