Look out! Here comes the most freezing-est fundraiser in town! Are you brrrave enough for the chilly challenge? SOTX invites you to take a frosty leap for proceeds at its annual Polar Plunge, January 18 at City Lake Aquatic Center in Mesquite or January 25 at NRH₂0 Waterpark in North Richland Hills.  The Polar Plunge is a cool event that requires participants to raise funds by jumping into ice cold water. You might even win the Best Costume Award, so dress to impress!

The cost to take a daring dip is $60 for adults and $30 for children under 18 years old.  Anyone who raises more than their required plunge fee will get a blanket, duffle bag, knit cap or one of the many other available incentives, based on their plunge level. About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)   
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle.  In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation.  In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX.  The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve close to 45,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
