If you spot a cop on top of The Donut Stop, be sure to give a lot. It’s not a stakeout, it’s a Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraiser for Special Olympics Texas.
Starting Friday, LETR officers will camp out on the roof of The Donut Stop, 5815 I-40 West, to collect money for and raise awareness of SOTX. Patrons and passers-by will be able to drop off donations at this location in support of area athletes, as well as several other locations around Amarillo.Officers will take to the rooftop to round up donations from 6:00 p.m. on September 6 through 12:00 p.m. on September 8.
