Lights, Glamour, Action in San Antonio!

Special Olympics Texas’ Oscar Experience is February 24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Get camera ready and practice your red carpet strut. The Oscar Experience, hosted by KSAT 12 and Santikos Palladium IMAX Theatre, is on February 24 in San Antonio.  Experience the elegance of the star-studded celebration at the Alamo City’s only sanctioned viewing of the Oscars.

The Oscar Experience, now in its 20th year, is the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences’ grassroots program that allows local charities to host Oscar viewing parties and raise money for their organizations.  The San Antonio event is one of 50 cities in the country that will host official Oscar viewing parties during the 85th Academy Awards ceremony.

The Oscar Experience will kick off with a VIP Reception at 6:00 p.m. at Santikos Palladium IMAX Theater, located at 17703 W IH-10.  The stylish event will start at 7:30 p.m.  VIP tickets are $60; general admission tickets are $15 each.  Sponsorships are available.

All guests will receive an official program exactly like the one that Hollywood celebrities receive on Oscar Night.  Guests will also get to bid on luxurious items at a silent auction and enter a drawing for a diamond pendant.

For more information or to purchase tickets, Anna Twitty (atwitty@sotx.org) at 210.530.9898 or go to www.sotx.org/oscarnight.
