Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Panhandle area challenges you to sign up for its frostiest fundraiser of the year on January 12. SOTX is calling on everyone cool enough to plunge for proceeds at the annual Polar Plunge - a chilly and entertaining event where the brave raise pledges by jumping into freezing cold water.
Registration for the Polar Plunge begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and the first plunge is at 11:00 a.m. at the Amarillo Town Club, located at 7700 Hillside. The cost to plunge is $60 for adults and $30 for children under 18 years old.
