Valley Area Athletes Head to Global Swim Meet

More than 300 Special Olympics athletes from around the world will compete in the Global Swimming Invitational in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  The tournament will feature 320 participants from 24 different countries who will compete in an array of aquatics events, ranging from 25m to 800m races.

The invitational, hosted by Special Olympics Latin America, is set for September 10-17.  Fifteen athletes will represent Texas, including Joshua S. Rodriguez and Joseph C. Rodriquez from the Rio Grande Valley area.
