Gallop into Spring with SOTX Athletes

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

More than 80 Heart of East Texas and Greater Houston area athletes will ride for the gold in the Area Equestrian Competition on April 14 in Magnolia.  The competitors will participate in both Western and English Equitation riding events at the Magnolia Community Horse Club Arena, located at 31245 Friendship Lane (Industrial Park).

The galloping will begin with the Coggins check at 7:00 a.m., followed by a full day of competition until about 5:30 p.m.  The event is free to attend and open to the public.

We need volunteers to cheer on our athletes as fans in the stands at the competition.  Help is also needed to set-up and breakdown the facility, assist with judging, scoring, results and awards.  For more information on volunteer opportunities, contact Rachell Baldwin (rbaldwin@sotx.org) in the Heart of East Texas area office at 936.756.6906 or Karen Abbott (kabbott@joyridecenter.org) at 281.356.5900.
