Welcome to the Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) Media Drive.  Get started with the QUICK FACTS guide featuring our high-impact work across Texas.  

You are permitted to use these images/footage for media coverage of Special Olympics Texas.  You may not use the following images/video/logos for promotional/business purposes without the explicit written permission of SOTX. Remember, when covering Special Olympics Texas:

  • We use “people-first language” - example: refer to people with intellectual disabilities, rather than “intellectually disabled people”
  • Avoid generally referring to SOTX athletes as "kids."  Adults, as well as kids, are Special Olympics Texas athletes.  
  • When covering our programming, please refer to us as Special Olympics Texas (instead of simply "Special Olympics").
  • It is incorrect to refer to SOTX athletes as "Olympians." They are "Special Olympics Texas athletes," "SOTX athletes," or "athletes."
