The Law Enforcement Torch Run has many different events to raise funds for Special Olympics Texas. Some of these methods are used statewide while others may be used only in certain areas. All of these fund-raising projects help raise much-needed funds for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the State of Texas that Special Olympics serves. Raising funds for and awareness of Special Olympics is the mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
All events held in the name of Torch Run and/or Special Olympics Texas must be approved by the chapter prior to being finalized. The approval process is initiated via the Event Notification Form. This form will help the chapter determine whether the event has proper insurance coverage, has sufficient staff support, etc. Please fill out the Event Notification Form and submit to the chapter or area office at least four weeks prior to the event, if possible.
If you are with a participating agency that needs to turn in funds from a recent event, please utilize the Torch Run Contribution Form. This form will ensure that all funds are tracked accurately and that your agency receives the proper credit for its fundraising efforts.
