SUMMARY
Using pre-existing fundraising software, the Digital Fundraising Coordinator will create online
fundraising systems and campaigns for fellow staff members as well as Schools, LETR (Law
Enforcement Torch Run) groups, and other various volunteer groups. But the work doesn’t stop
there—we are looking for someone to help activate, guide and coach the staff and volunteer
groups who are using the online peer-to-peer systems you provide to maximize impact.
In addition to creating and guiding our digital fundraisers, the person in this role will maintain
and enhance our in-person event checkout/donation systems such as Square reader, linking QR
codes to specific fundraising pages and more. We need someone who is comfortable working
in a fast-paced environment with a knack for technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create online fundraising systems and campaigns
● Assist with developing and distributing SOTX online fundraising (including social media)
● Collaborate with Executive directors on in-person fundraising/checkout systems
● Track fundraising metrics for reporting
● Assist with implementing Unified Champion Schools® goals and programming
● Communication of organizational goals to regional team which must include, but are not
limited to, best practices, innovation, retention and recruitment

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS:
Passion for Special Olympics Texas
Screening: Must pass Criminal and National Sex Offender Registry background screening (Required for all staff)

Education: College degree or equitable experience in non-profit program implementation

Experience: Working knowledge of digital fundraising.
Knowledge: Fundraising platforms such as Givegab, Givebutter, etc. Checkout
systems such as Square readers, and knowledge of maximizing QR
codes.

Skills: Strong organizational skill with the ability to manage multiple projects;
effective time management, verbal and written skills, public speaking and
customer service

Work Schedule: Full time 40 hours per week; This position’s work schedule will be
determined by the demands of the position and may include evenings and
weekends. Flexible time is available with prior approval of the supervisor.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required
to sit or stand for extended periods of time; occasionally required to lift
and/or move up to 20lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; frequently
required to stand, reach with hands and arms through full range of
motion.

Transportation: Must have their own reliable transportation with good driving history, valid

Texas driver’s license and current insurance.
