What is “Over the Edge”?
Over the Edge is a unique fundraising venture in which participants raise pledges (a minimum of $1,000) in exchange for the once-in-a-lifetime experience to rappel 15 – 22 stories down a high-rise building. Each participant receives a pre-assigned time for their rappel so you know when to invite your friends to cheer you on!
Who can go “Over the Edge”?
Thrill seekers who are 18 years or older, weigh 110 – 300 lbs., and raise a minimum of $1,000 prior to the event.
How do I raise $1,000?
$1,000 can be raised by any combination of donations gathered. A personal webpage will be available to assist your fundraising efforts. Follow this fundraising tool kit to help you get to your goal!
Besides the adrenaline rush, what's in it for me?
Over the Edge participants raising the minimum $1,000 will receive 2 invitations to the V.I.P. reception (day before the event), commemorative apparel, appreciation award and participant photo.
Over the Edge participants raising $2,000 or more will receive 2 invitations to the V.I.P. reception (day before the event), commemorative apparel, appreciation award, participant photo and jacket.
How will the money raised be spent?
All money raised will be used to provide year-round training and competition for athletes in your area.
Is it safe?
Yes, absolutely! The event is set up as an industrial work site which meets and exceeds the highest safety standards. Equipment, practices and procedures are approved by Federal and State OSHA, workers compensation, and IRATA governing bodies. In the past four years, this event has been performed in countless marketplaces, rappelling thousands of CEOs and participants.
