The Mission of Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympics-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Bachman Therapeutic Recreation Center is the only specialized recreation center to provide services for citizens who are disabled operated by the City of Dallas and as such is positioned to provide a unique level of service to the mentally, physically and emotionally disabled citizens. They have been a great advocate and partner to Special Olympics Texas and more than 6,200 Dallas athletes!

Schedule

• Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
• 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m.
• 5K starts at 9:00 a.m.
• Post-race door prize drawings and race awards

Pre-Registration Deadline is Friday, February 6, 2015 at noon.

• $20 1 Mile Fun Run Registration (price doesn't change)
• $25 5K Pre-Registration
• $35 5K Day of Event Registration

Every participant will receive a long sleeve cotton t-shirt as well as great door prizes!
