Special Olympics Texas Rio Grande Valley Area 1 will host the 2023 Area Bowling Competition the week of November 6th at Main Event in Pharr!

THIS DAY, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 will be for ALL AGED RAMP BOWLERS!! 

 

The exciting competition is open to the public free of charge. All eligible individuals who are Ramp Bowlers from the age of five to our 30+ years of age are welcome to compete, as long as all necessary paperwork has been submitted. We invite you to review any and all rules, forms regarding Bowling at our updated Sports Information Guide (SIG) online.

  • Registration Check In/ Scratches 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

  • Opening Ceremonies 10:00 AM

Athlete Eligibility/Safety: All athletes must have a current Athlete Medical and Communicable Disease Waiver on file with the SOTX office before they can participate in any practices OR competitions. If your athlete is missing either of these documents they are ineligible to participate. Please contact your Program Director if you have any questions or concerns.

SOTX Covid-19 Statement:

Indoor and Outdoor sports/activities are back at Special Olympics Texas. 

There are currently no plans to require masks or the vaccine for participation in any Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) programming within the state of Texas. This includes all local competitions, fundraising events and statewide games. We continue to encourage all participants to be fully vaccinated.

Events hosted or sanctioned by parties other than SOTX are subject to the COVID-19 protocols of that party.
