Special Olympics Texas invites you to take part in the Annual Polar Plunge®! Are you brrrrrrave enough? This event is a unique opportunity for individuals, businesses and organizations to support more than 58,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes. All money raised for Polar Plunge will go toward providing year-round sports training and competition, health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in your community.


Help us get our Special Olympics Texas athletes in the San Antonio area get back in the game this year by supporting our Polar Plunge. To get involved, complete the following 5 steps!

Step 1: Click on the following link to our Polar Plunge page.

Step 2: Click on the Register Or Fundraise button at the top of the page to: register (as an individual or with a team of six), donate to a campaign, or create your own fundraising campaign. 

Step 3: Share your campaign link with friends, family, and colleagues and ask them to donate!

Step 4: Pick a fun costume to wear to the Polar Plunge. 

Step 5: Head to SeaWorld- Big Surf Shores located at 10500 Sea World Dr, San Antonio, TX 78251 on Saturday, February 26th ready to plunge! The event will take place from 8:00-10:00 AM.


  • All who register receive an exclusive 2022 Polar Plunge long-sleeve shirt
  • Fundraise $120 as an individual registrant to receive an SOTX Tumbler
  • Fundraise $500 as a team and each member will receive an SOTX Tumbler (each team can have a maximum of 6 plungers)

Necessary precautions will be in place to ensure that all participants can enjoy a safe and fun experience. There will be lifeguards and medical personnel on standby. While not plunging, all participants (including spectators and family members) must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
