Area 17 2023 Bowling Competition

Special Olympics Texas - Area 17 will host their 2023 Bowling Competition on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at South Plains Lanes, 5150 69th St., Lubbock, TX 79424.

Time: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

This event will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 8:30 AM, immediately after the competition begins.  Multiple Shifts will be determined by the number of athletes who are entered into the competition. Shifts will be determined by age, gender and ability.  More information will be available closer to the competition.

We encourage the community to come out and cheer on our athletes as they compete in this year's competition. Special Olympics Texas events are open to the public and we encourage the attendance of families, volunteers, community partners, and spectators!

Athlete Safety: All athletes much have a current Athlete Medical on file with the area SOTX office before they can participate in any practices. If your athletes are missing either of these documents they will not be able to participate in the event.

Volunteers: If you are interested in volunteering for this event or other Special Olympic Texas events, you may email Abby Scott at arscott@sotx.org to request volunteer information. Volunteers that have signed up for any events must present a picture identification card upon registration in order to volunteer for the day.
