General Information: 

Special Olympics Texas – Area 13/Area 20 Softball Competition will take place on Saturday September 9, 2023 at the Alva Jo Fischer Softball Complex in San Antonio, Texas. 

 
This event will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 8:30AM on Saturday September 9, 2023, followed by competition starting around  9:00am!  Exact schedule of Events will be available closer to the competition. 

We encourage the community to come out and cheer on our athletes as they compete in this year's competition. Special Olympics Texas events are open to the public and we encourage the attendance of families, volunteers, community partners, and spectators! 
 
 

Athlete Safety:  

All Athletes must be part of a current Special Olympics Delegation/Team in order to participate in this competition. Special Olympics Athletes are registered for this competition via their Team Coaches and/or their Head of Delegation.  

All Athletes must have a current Athlete Medical & Communicable Disease Waiver  on file with the Area SOTX office, before they can participate in any practices. If your Athletes are missing either of these documents they will not be able to participate in the event. You can find a copy of the SOTX Athlete Medical Packet below in the Coaches & HODs section. Both English and Spanish versions of the Athlete Medical Packet are available below.

 Volunteers that have signed up for any events must present a picture identification card upon registration in order to volunteer for the day.
