General Information: 

Special Olympics Texas – Central Texas Flag Football Competition will take place on Saturday October 19, 2024 at St. Gabriel's Catholic School Football complex, in Austin, Texas. 

 
This event will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 8:45AM on Saturday October 19, 2024, followed by competition starting around 9:30am!  Exact schedule of Events will be available closer to the competition. 

We encourage the community to come out and cheer on our athletes as they compete in this year's competition. Special Olympics Texas events are open to the public and we encourage the attendance of families, volunteers, community partners, and spectators! 
 
 

Athlete Safety:  

To be eligible for this competition, all Athletes must be part of a current Special Olympics Delegation/Team and have practiced with their team for a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the competition date. Special Olympics Athletes are registered for this competition via their Team Coaches and/or their Head of Delegation.  

All Athletes must have a current Athlete Medical & Communicable Disease Waiver  on file with the Area SOTX office, before they can participate in any practices. If your Athletes are missing either of these documents they will not be able to participate in the event. You can find a copy of the SOTX Athlete Medical Packet below in the Coaches & HODs section. Both English and Spanish versions of the Athlete Medical Packet are available below.

 Volunteers that have signed up for any events must present a picture identification card upon registration in order to volunteer for the day.

All flag football competition registrations must be completed in full on the official SOTX Area Flag Football Registration form, which can be found below.  

 
Medicals & Comm. Diseases Waivers Due:      August 9, 2024 
 

Registration Entry Deadline:      September 13, 2024 
 

Permanent Scratches will be Completed for Competition:       October 9, 2024* 
Once permanent scratches take place, individuals scratched will NOT be added back to the competition. No exceptions.
