SOTX Covid-19 Statement:

Indoor activities, with several safety measures in place, are permitted at Special Olympics Texas.

The Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) Mitigation Committee has made the decision to additionally permit indoor in-person SOTX activities (indoor sports, fundraisers, LETR events, etc.) with several safety modifications in place.  All safety measures found on our training page are required for indoor activities.

We strongly encourage all participants to be fully vaccinated.

In addition to our strong recommendation of the vaccine, all participants must complete the Covid-19 waiver as well as Athletes having a current Medical on file before their return to activities.

When not in the field of play, all participants (including spectators and family members) are recommended to wear a mask and practice social distancing.  High fives and other contact mannerisms should be avoided.  Additionally, the Mitigation Committee and Regional Executive Directors can pause upcoming activities at any time if they feel a certain area may have an unusually unsafe uprise in local COVID-19 cases.
