Area 17 2023 Bocce Competition

Special Olympics Texas - Area 17 will host their 2023 Bocce Competition on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Vocational Transition Center in Lubbock, TX.

This event will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00am, followed by competition starting at 9:30 am!

We encourage the community to come out and cheer on our athletes as they compete in this year's competition. Special Olympics Texas events are open to the public and we encourage the attendance of families, volunteers, community partners, and spectators!

Athlete Safety: All athletes much have a current Athlete Medical and COVID Waiver on file with the area SOTX office before they can participate in any practices. If your athletes are missing either of these documents they will not be able to participate in the event.

Volunteers: If you are interested in volunteering for this event or other Special Olympic Texas events, you may email Mariah Alvarado at malvarado@sotx.org to request volunteer information. If you would like to volunteer for this event please click on the 'Register' button on the right hand column. Volunteers that have signed up for any events must present a picture identification card upon registration in order to volunteer for the day.
