We recently got the chance to sit down (virtually) with one of our sponsors, United Express, part of the United Family! Learn more about United Express and how they're using their impact for good >>
What is your company’s philosophy on philanthropy?
The United Family has been part of the local community for over 105 years. We are a strong believer in supporting and giving back to the local neighborhoods and organizations within our areas. Neighbors helping neighbors. That’s how you provide a Positive Impact.
Why did your company choose to partner with SOTX?
It was an easy decision. The Special Olympics organization fills a pivotal role in our communities, providing a voice to those who need it most. Being able to help in that mission makes it a worthwhile endeavor.
How long has your company been active with SOTX and in what capacities?
United Express has been involved with the Special Olympics for nearly a decade. We have helped raise funds, sponsored events, donated product and services and provided volunteers for athletic events. I’m also part of Lubbock’s local Board of Directors.
How has your company had to shift its business practice in response to COVID-19?
Our stores and fuel stations are an everyday essential need, but even more so during these unprecedented times. The wellbeing of our Guests, Partners and Team Members will always be priority one. We continued to focus on providing a great shopping experience, in a clean, fresh and friendly environment; delivering on our mission of Ultimate Service.
What is one thing you would like to express to our audience about your company?
In a world of many choices, we are thankful to them for choosing us every day as their destination stop.
