The 2023 World Games in Berlin, Germany have come and gone, and Special Olympics Texas athletes did an amazing job to represent SOTX and Special Olympics USA on the world stage!

The 2023 World Games were held June 17-25, 2023 in Berlin, Germany. Many renowned sports facilities in Berlin provided state-of-the-art competition venues, including the Event Center in the Messe Berlin (Convention Center), the Max-Schmeling-Halle sports facilities, the Sportforum, the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-SportPark, and the Brandenburg Gate. The Opening Ceremony were held in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

  • 3,000 coaches
  • 3,500 officials
  • 500,000 spectators
  • 3-4 days Host Town Program
  • 9 days of competition
  • 7,000 health workers
