Kim Vo will be playing basketball at World Games for Special Olympics USA in Los Angeles beginning later this week.

“I’m looking forward to visiting L.A., meeting people and having fun with the team,’ Vo said.” World Games means a lot to me and I hope I can win a medal!”

When basketball is not in season, Vo like to play Bocce and bowl for Special Olympics Texas.

“Special Olympics has helped me come out of her shell,” Vo said.  "I'm pretty shy, but Special Olympics has helped me overcome that.  I'm more focused and interact with my friends."

Vo’s involvement has helped her develop friendships and be more comfortable talking with teammates, coaches and athlete family members.

Her hobbies are swimming and basketball, and her favorite celebrity is Britney Spears.
