Texas Torch Runners attended the international Law Enforcement Torch Run International Conference in New Orleans in September. While there, they were fortunate to meet Chief Richard LaMunyon, the man who founded the Law Enforcement Torch Run back in 1981. The Law Enforcement Torch Run—including all 50 states and 48 countries—raised $50 million in 2013. That included all 50 states in the U.S. and 48 countries. The great state of Texas raised approximately $1,265,000!
