ALPs Give Back to Army Heroes

The Greater Dallas area's Athlete Input Council completed its first service project of the year! ALPs member, Jonathan Blackmon, proposed to his fellow ALPs that they make care packages for his friend, Brooks, and his unit, who are stationed with the Army in Afghanistan. Jonathan encouraged the ALPs to collect goodies, like Chips Ahoy cookies and Oreos (Brook’s favorite), sports magazines, deodorant, hard candy, jelly beans, body powder and crackers for the packages. The ALPs brought their items to the June ALPS meeting and put their care packages together. They had a lot of fun and made a total of eight boxes to send overseas. It was a great example of leadership, friendship and teamwork from our ALPS!
