The 3-on-3 basketball competition fundraiser benefits nearly 1,200 SOTX athletes in the South Texas area.

CORPUS CHRISTI – It may not be March, but basketball madness is still in the air, as the 27th annual Pepsi Bay Ball Ballyhoop gets set to return to Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi from July 30-31 at the Dugan Wellness Center and Island Hall Gym. The 3-on-3 basketball tournament challenges top ballers and Cinderella hopefuls to bring their A-game to the court for bragging rights and for the purpose of raising awareness and funds for nearly 1,900 Special Olympics Texas athletes in the South Texas area.
Teams are placed in age division according to the oldest player on the team. There are 9 divisions: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Youth (15-17), Women’s Youth (15-17), Men’s Youth (12-14), Women’s Youth (12-14), Men’s Over 40 (ALL players must be over 40), Unified Team (includes Special Olympics Texas athletes) and Corporate (ALL players from same business).
Registration can be completed online at www.sotx.org/bayball. Each team will have four players. The entry fee is $160 per Adult Team and $100 per Youth Team.
Check-in is on Friday, July 30 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Academy Sports + Outdoors (5001 S. Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78411).
