SOTX Invites You to Fall into the Games

What better way to recoup from a blistering hot summer than to cheer on Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athletes at the coolest competition in town?  SOTX – East Texas Area competitors are warming up for the Fall Games, set for September 17. More than 150 area athletes will participate in bocce and softball events at Golden Road Park, located at 2300 McDonald Road in Tyler.

A heart warming and inspiring Opening Ceremonies featuring East Texas athletes will commence at 9:00 a.m., immediately followed by competition, which will wrap around 2:00 p.m. 

The Fall Games is free to attend and open to the public.  Interested volunteers may register online.  Volunteer registration on game day is from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Golden Road Park.  For more information, contact Angela Grace (agrace@sotx.org) at 936.639.1755.
