SOTX Athletes will Participate in a Halftime Scrimmage - November 6

Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athletes from the Central Texas and San Antonio areas will join the Big 12 for some soccer action during the women’s championship game on November 6 in San Antonio.

The Big 12 Women’s Soccer Championship, hosted by San Antonio Sports and the University of Texas, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Blossom Soccer Stadium, located at 12002 Jones Maltsberger Road in San Antonio.  A SOTX athlete from San Antonio and one from the Central Texas area will mark the start of the competition by presenting the game day ball to the referee.  SOTX athletes will then take to the field during halftime for a scrimmage between the Central Texas and San Antonio area teams.

Be a fan in the stands and cheer on the women’s soccer teams and Special Olympics Texas athletes.  Tickets for the championship game are $7 and are available at www.sanantoniosports.org/big12.htm.
