Heart of East Texas Gears Up for Games
On your mark, get set, go for the gold! Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Heart of East Texas area athletes are getting ready for the Spring Games competition April 8-9. The Games will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and end around 10:00 p.m. on April 8. Opening Ceremonies will kick off competition at 12:00 p.m. on April 9, immediately followed by athletics (track and field) events until 4:00 p.m.
The two-day competition will take place at Brenham Cub Stadium in front of Brenham Middle School, located next door to the Boys & Girls Club and the Bluebell Aquatics Center. All events are free and open to the public.
Volunteers are needed to cheer on our athletes and be fans in the stands at the Games. Help is also needed to set-up and breakdown the facility, assist with judging, scoring, results and awards.
