Give a Lot to a Cop on Top in Amarillo!
Fundraiser for Special Olympics Texas is September 9-10
In a few weeks, you might spot a cop on top of The Donut Stop in Amarillo. It’s not part of an undercover stakeout, it’s a Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) fundraiser for Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Panhandle area!
During Cops on Top, local LETR officers will take to the roof of The Donut Stop, located at 5815 I-40 West, from 6:00 p.m. on September 9 through 12:00 p.m. on September 11, to raise money for and awareness of SOTX and its athletes. Throughout the Cops on Top weekend, you can also surrender donations at The Donut Stop locations at 3369 Bell Street, 1905 South Georgia Street, 4300 South Coulter Street and 3605 West 45th Avenue.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation. In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX. The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve more than 36,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
