Dish it Out in Support of SOTX
Satisfy
your appetite and your craving for support at the most delicious fundraiser in
town. You’re invited to Special Olympics
Texas’ (SOTX) Tip A Cop fundraiser at participating Texas Roadhouse restaurants
on December 15. Highway troopers, police
officers, sheriff’s deputies and other Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) members
will swap their uniforms for aprons to dish up dollars for SOTX. LETR is Special Olympics’ largest grassroots
fund-raiser and public awareness vehicle.
Participating eateries in the Greater Houston area are the Texas Roadhouse
restaurants in Houston (13345 FM 1960 Road West) and Katy (20840 Katy
Fwy).
LETR members will greet and serve patrons during dinner from 6:00 p.m.
to 9:30 p.m., collecting tips and serving up support for SOTX athletes.

Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is
Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness
vehicle. In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had
grown to become one of the largest in the nation. In the last decade,
Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands
of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX. The support
provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in
local communities, which involve more than 40,000 athletes with intellectual
disabilities throughout the state.
