Athletes Demonstrate at Big 12 Tennis Championships
The Big 12 Tennis Championships are April 28 through May 1 in Waco and Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Heart of Texas area athletes will take their tennis talents to the court for a demonstration during the championship match.
The first round of competition begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Baylor University, followed by four days of events. The Tennis Championships will wrap with both men’s and women’s final rounds starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. SOTX athletes will participate in a tennis demonstration following doubles matches during the intermission preceding singles matches. After the exhibition, the Big 12 will present Championship medals to the athletes.
Baylor will host the Big 12 Tennis Championships at the Baylor Tennis Center, located at the end of the Dutch Schroeder Athletic Plaza adjacent to the Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field, Baylor Ballpark and Getterman Stadium.
