Support SOTX and Show Your Strength!Law enforcement flex their muscles to support SOTX athletes It's the ultimate test of strength – pulling a 66,000 lbs. fire truck for 50 feet! Special Olympics Texas – San Antonio Area will hold a Fire Truck Pull, hosted by the San Antonio Fire Training Academy on Saturday, October 9 at the San Antonio Fire Training Academy, located at 300 S. Callaghan Road. The event begins with an Opening Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. and the first pull starts at 9:15 a.m. The 2010 Fire Truck Pull Challenge champions will be named and awards presented after the last pull of the day. Awards will be presented to the teams with the fastest pull times and the top fundraising teams. Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded non-profit organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for 36,311 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lone Star State.
