Spring into Summer with a Picnic in the Park

Whip up your favorite summer snack and head to Tyrrell Park Stables in Beaumont for a picnic.  Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Beaumont/Golden Triangle area will host the informational event on Saturday, June 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

With burgers, hot dogs and games that the whole family can enjoy, the picnic will be a great opportunity for fun in the sun, but it will also be a great time to ask questions and find out what Special Olympics Texas can do for your family.  There will be an equestrian demonstration by an SOTX athlete and information on how to join the movement by becoming a certified golf or cycling coach.

Tyrrell Park Stables is located at 5595 Tyrrell Park Road.  For more information or to RSVP, contact Hillary Nyert at 409.784.5610.  To compete in Special Olympics Texas, a person must be at least eight years old and identified by an agency or professional as having intellectual disabilities or a closely related developmental disability.
