SOTX Challenges Teams to Test Their StrengthFire Truck Pull event brings out the muscle and support for athletes Do you and your friends have the strength to pull a fire truck? It's time to start flexing your muscles; the ultimate tug-of-war challenge is just around the corner! Special Olympics Texas – South Plains area and the Law Enforcement Torch Run will hold the Fire Truck Pull Challenge, hosted by the Lubbock Police Department and Lubbock Fire Department, on Saturday, August 28 in the Lubbock Civic Center parking lot. Registration beings at 9:30 a.m. and the first pull starts at 10:00 a.m. So how does the challenge work? Teams of eight will take turns playing tug-of-war with a 35,000-pound fire truck, competing against other teams for prizes. Registration is now underway for this great team-building event.
