Dine Out and Tip Big for SOTX

Tip A Cop Event Raises Money for Area Athletes

Enjoy a great meal and change the lives of Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athletes.  On Friday, April 16, law enforcement officers will trade in the badges to serve as wait staff for the Tip A Cop event at Joe's Crab Shack restaurants across the state and in the South Plains area.  Stop by the Joe's Crab Shack at 5802 West Loop South 289 in Lubbock for lunch or dinner!

Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) officers will serve you lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. while collecting tips for SOTX.  Officers from the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office and the Lubbock Police Department will participate in the event.

Tip A Cop is one way in which law enforcement has been able to successfully raise funds for Special Olympics Texas athletes.  Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded non-profit organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for 36,311 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lone Star State.  Be a part of the movement that is CHANGING LIVES in your community.  For more information, visit our website at www.specialolympicstexas.org.
