SOTX Athletes to Hoop It Up at Tournament

Special Olympics Texas Basketball Tournament will be held February 26-27, 2010

SAN MARCOS – Nearly 500 local Special Olympics Texas athletes are perfecting their shot for the Central Texas Area Basketball Tournament on February 26-27 at Texas State University Jowers Center, located at 601 University Drive.  Athletes start with a slam dunk as competition begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26.  Opening Ceremonies gets athletes and fans geared up at 11:55 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Competition on Saturday begins at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to last until 7:00 p.m.  Athletes can compete in numerous events, including, individual skills, team skills, three on three, five on five and on Unified Sports teams.
