Athletes Compete in Spring Games

Volunteers needed for the Games

Special Olympics Texas athletes from the Gulf Coast area are showing off their skills at the 2010 Spring Games this Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1 at Clear Creek High School.

Be a part of the excitement as athletes from 24 delegations compete in Spring Games.  On Friday, competition begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.  Dinner begins at 5:00 p.m. and Victory Dance runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Saturday starts with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 a.m.  Competition begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Volunteers are needed!  Be a part of the fun and support Special Olympics Texas athletes in your community!  Previous sports knowledge is not required.  To volunteer, simply check in at the Volunteer Registration Tent at the stadium the day you would like to volunteer.  For more information, contact the area office at 281.282.6060.  

Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded non-profit organization, providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for 36,311 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lone Star State.
