SOTX Receives Support from Local BusinessWal-Mart gives $2,000 check for upcoming Spring Games For Immediate Release: March 24, 2009 Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athletes in the Big Country area are getting support from Wal-Mart for the upcoming area Spring Games. On Wednesday, March 25, Wal-Mart representatives will present a check for $2,000 to Special Olympics Texas at 9:00 a.m. at 4515 College Avenue. Representatives from the Wal-Mart #1272 will show their support for the movement by presenting the check to an area SOTX athlete, volunteer and staff member. The Big Country Area Spring Games is April 18 at Elmer Gray Field on the Abilene Christian University campus. Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded non-profit organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for 32,240 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lone Star State.
