Ovilla Professional Appointed to SOTX Board

Tom Henry of Ovilla has been appointed to the Special Olympics Texas 2009 Board of Directors. He will serve a two-year term in the Physical Ed/Rec. position.

Henry has more than 27 years of experience in the recreation field.  He currently serves as the Director of Parks and Recreation for Haltom City, where he has been employed since 2007.  His previous work experience includes serving as Athletic Supervisor in Irving for 18 years, Field Maintenance Supervisor in Grand Prairie and Athletic Supervisor in Duncanville.  Henry is a member of the Texas Recreation & Parks Society and the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation.  In addition to his SOTX involvement, Henry is affiliated with Punt, Pass and Kick and the Sports Turf Managers Association.
