Casting Call!

Each year, Procter & Gamble (P&G) does a nationwide campaign that benefits Special Olympics.  The Brandsaver campaign runs for two weeks, from the end of December into January, with P&G donating a portion of the P&G product purchases during that time to Special Olympics. 

We are thrilled to announce that Procter & Gamble has again selected Texas, and more specifically - the Austin area, as the site of their photo shoot for this year's campaign.  Special Olympics Texas - Central Texas area athletes, siblings and Meet in the Middle students will be the focus of the shots.  We would like to submit as many profiles and photos as possible for consideration.  From these submissions, a number of applicants will be selected to participate in a photo shoot at the end of June, from which photos will be selected for this year's nationwide campaign.

To participate, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a Special Olympics Texas athlete, a sibling of a SOTX athlete, a volunteer, or a student who participated in Meet in the Middle or Camp Shriver, age 15 or younger.

2. Must be available for the photo shoot on June 29, June 30 and July 1, 2009. 

3. Must have parent/guardian permission to appear in the photos for this nationwide campaign.

4. Must have transportation to and from the photo shoot (at locations in the Austin and San Marcos areas).

5. Must compete in or have familiarity with the sports of aquatics, basketball, soccer or track.

This shoot is a wonderful opportunity to highlight Special Olympics Texas - Central Texas area athletes, siblings and Meet in the Middle participants in an ad campaign that will run in newspapers across the United States!  We look forward to receiving your submissions.
