Volunteers Needed for Equestrian Competition

Athletes Saddle Up for Summer Games Equestrian Competition

Help SOTX athletes rein in the gold at the 2008 Summer Games equestrian competition on Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 at the Brazos County Expo Center.  Sign up to volunteer today by clicking here.

More than 120 Special Olympics Texas athletes from across the state will saddle up for the 2008 Summer Games equestrian competition.  The competition will be held Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 at the Brazos County Expo Center.

Volunteers are needed!  We invite individuals, groups, families and companies to volunteer to assist with competitions and special events.

The following shifts are in need of volunteers:
Saturday, May 17  7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
                         12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
                          5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 18    7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
                         12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The equestrian competition is part of the state Summer Games.  More than 2,800 athletes will compete in athletics, basketball, cycling, gymnastics, soccer and tennis at the University of Texas at Arlington and at venues in the Arlington area, May 23-25, as part of the Games.
