Yao Ming Supports SOTX

For Immediate Release: February 9, 2006

International icon and NBA superstar Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets showed his support of Special Olympics Texas, by attending the 2006 Winter Games Opening Ceremonies.

Yao marched into the Ken Pridgeon Stadium with the Katy Wolfpack delegation, and then offered his words of welcome and encouragement to SOTX athletes.  Yao also joined the 2006 Athletes of the Year in lighting the Flame of Hope.
