Athletes and Supporters Get Glamorous for Oscar Night® America

The excitement of the Oscars came alive at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio on February 24.  "Celebrity" athletes and supporters felt like stars at the Oscar Night® America party, presented by Fluor Corporation, OnQuest and Tesoro and benefiting Special Olympics Texas.

The ritzy, Hollywood-style event included dinner, a reception, a live, large-screen broadcast of the Oscars, a silent auction of fabulous items, and the opportunity to mingle with Special Olympics Texas athletes.  Celebrity emcees for the evening were Ursula Pari and Steve Spriester of KSAT12.  The San Antonio party was one of the official parties sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that was held across the country on Oscar Night - and the only one in San Antonio.
