It's Time to Get Creative for LETR Design Contest
For Immediate Release: January 3, 2008
The Torch Run Committee unanimously decided that wearing athlete artwork was another way to show their support for Special Olympics Texas athletes. Between 400 and 500 officers will proudly wear the Final Leg T-shirt as they run into the press conference at the 2008 Summer Games in Arlington.
Please encourage all artistically-inclined athletes to participate in this contest! The Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee will choose the winning artwork. If an athlete's artwork is selected, the athlete will be invited to attend the Summer Games Press Conference and be recognized on stage for his or her work.

• Athletes can submit up to two pieces of artwork.
• Artwork needs to be drawn on 8.5 x11 paper (standard letter size).
• The athlete may choose any medium to do artwork (watercolor, charcoal, crayon, marker, etc.).

• Artwork will be judged on overall composition, use of color (no pastels please), and creativity.
• All submitted artwork becomes the property of Special Olympics Texas.
