Area Conference for Coaches RecertificationDate: February 25, 2012
Annually, the coaches must attend an Area Conference in person or online. This opportunity is offered to coaches from early January through the end of February. It is during the area conference that coaches will learn about rule changes, policies and procedures, new sports, calendar of events, etc. Coaches who choose to attend the area conference in person should attend the conference in their area (or they may attend an area conference in another area with the prior approval of the appropriate area director). We strongly suggest that all current coaches go online by clicking this link and taking your online annual Coaches Conference. Make sure that you answer YES to the 3 Terms of Agreement, complete your correct contact information, then submit. It is that easy! Coaches who take the conference online do NOT need to attend the Area Conference on February 25, 2012 at a location to be announced shortly. To register for the face-to-face conference to be offered on February 25, click the below link so that we will know how many individuals to prepare for. Also on this day, we will offer a Spring/Summer Sports Coaches Training in the following sports: Athletics, Basketball, Cycling and Tennis you may register at this link: Spring and Summer Sports Coaches Training This
year, we have established a new registration process for all coach’s
trainings. You may now register all year or up until the Spring/Summer Sports Coaches Training Expo. You will find a link to the Eventbrite
registration webpage for training registration. Once on this website, you will be able to register for the coaches training.
It will ask you to "purchase" your ticket to attend the coach’s training
clinic; there is no monetary value
to this purchase, simply click and register. Additionally, prior to attending the COACHES TRAINING each new coach must attend the online training for General Orientation – which an individual must take once and the Protective Behaviors Training – which an individual must take every three years along with completing a Volunteer A form to remain a certified Class A volunteer. All of this information can be found at Volunteer/Information/Next Steps.
