Principles of Coaching Level II Training School
Date: August 23, 2008
Area: 04 - Greater Houston
In keeping with the commitment to coaching excellence in Texas, it is necessary to continue your coaching education in order to keep your certification current. Special Olympics Texas is now requiring that each coach attend an approved Special Olympics course or continuing education course at least one time every four years, as well as, the local area conference yearly in order to remain certified at any level. The supplementary training required enables current coaching practices and new techniques to be shared, as well as, new ideas to be expressed.
Who Should Attend: All Special Olympics' coaches, parents, volunteers, or anyone interested in becoming a certified coach, interested in becoming Level II certified and wishing to obtain the continuing education course requirements.
The Principles of Coaching Level II Training School will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the West Gray Adaptive Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The registration deadline is August 18, 2008.
